We recently moved to Georgia, and our photography business has moved with us. But I get so excited when our Oklahoma clients want to work with us during our visits back home to see family. We met Reagan about a year ago when we did a portrait session for her oldest daughter. I knew right away that she was awesome! I can’t remember a portrait session where I have laughed so much. Her since of humor is fantastic, and right up my alley.
When Reagan contacted me about doing a 40th birthday portrait session, I was so excited. My trip to Oklahoma was scheduled for a few months before her birthday, so we decided to keep the portrait session secret, since I would be back doing my photography thing in Georgia by then.
This photography session was so much fun to plan. I wanted to do some lovely playful beauty shots, because everyone deserves to feel fabulous on their birthday, but we also really wanted to have some strictly comical shots as well. There were so many styled aspects of the portrait session, that it took a lot of logistical planning to squeeze it all in. But I think we covered all the birthday portrait bases. Reagan hates cake, but loves wine, corndogs, and chips. So instead of the typical smash cake portraits that 1 year olds do (and hilarious 40 year olds do – its all over Pinterest) we did smash junk food portraits.
I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from Reagan’s 40th Birthday Portrait Session!
Happy Birthday Reagan! I absolutely loved shooting your 40th birthday portrait session! You are one of the funniest people I know and a joy to work with. Hope your birthday is fantastic!
